LG Display announced on January 19 that it invited CEOs of 80 major parts and equipment partners to LG Display’s business in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, and held "2020 New Year's Event" to grow together on January 17.
LG Display directly explained the company’s business strategy to its partners, while sharing the outlook for the display market and the focus of its purchase.
LG Display announced plans to step up efforts to lead the market with its partners, who are partners in the project, based on its business strategies such as ‘‘big OLED’ trend, ‘P-OLED’ business turnabout and LCD structural innovation.
In order to grow together, LG Display has been actively supporting its partners, emphasizing their fundamental competitiveness.
Typically, there is a manufacturing innovation project for strengthening capabilities of business partners. In 2019, it carried out 331 manufacturing innovation tasks for 14 partner companies.
Explaining our business strategy, LG Display President Chung Ho-young said, "Based on our physical strength and competitiveness, we will overcome our current difficulties and take off again."
He also said that if LG Display and its partners build bricks together in stages, they will be able to build large houses that can all be done together.
Meanwhile, Park Rae-jung, head of LG Economic Research Institute, gave a lecture on economic prospects at home and abroad in 2020 and shared the outlook for the display market in 2020 with participants.
