A Picture of Samsung

The much anticipated Galaxy S smartphone will be released in the United States next month. In Korea, the Galaxy S has already been released and is in a fierce competition with the iPhone 4. Once this smartphone is released in the United States, it will be available through 4 telephone carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint and T-Mobile.

The Galaxy S is equipped with a high-speed 1 Ghz processor and 512 MB Ram. It features a 4.0 inch AMOLED screen and a 5 million pixel camera. Other features include access to DMB and has 16 gigabytes of memory storage. This touch-screen device also allows video calls and access to various applications including Gmail, Youtube and the Android market.

On June 30th, Samsung will open a event for the release of the Galaxy S smartphone. Through this event, they hope to successfully promote the Galaxy S in the growing smartphone market. Last year, about 48.8 million smartphones were sold in the North American market. In the smartphone market, Apple was 2nd with about 11.7 million smartphones sold, trailing only behind the Blackberry. Samsung was ranked 5th, with about 2 million of their smartphones sold.

There is a rising popularity within the smartphone market in North America and Samsung hopes to provide a popular smartphone. Samsung's Galaxy S could become that new and popular product.
