Song Gu-young, CEO of LG HelloVision, visited system operators (SO) around the region, stressing "field-oriented management." Under the management philosophy of the "field-type CEO" that all strategic directions are determined from the contact point with customers, he directly visited major regional hubs.
LG HelloVision announced on Feb. 20 that its CEO Song visited the SOs in the region for a month from Feb. 10 to review the situation at the site and had a meeting to listen to employees' difficulties in person.
With the aim of sharing the company's business direction and encouraging executives and employees, CEO and major management staff will visit the base area one after another.
"Our competitive edge in regional contact is our differentiated strength," CEO Song said at a meeting in Incheon on Feb. 19. "Please work with a sense of responsibility and autonomy in the field so that everything from production of broadcasting content to sales and AS can be optimized for regional characteristics."
CEO Song said, "We will strengthen our basic competitiveness by improving the quality of cable TV services. Please work confidently with products and services that will become even better."
He declared that he would shift the paradigm from the paid broadcasting market to quality competition centered on goods and services.
Song also asked staff to become the "first mover" of change and innovation from the field, saying that the know-how and "first DNA" that HelloVision has accumulated by leading the cable TV market will be the foundation for taking the lead in the paid broadcasting market in the future.
