SK Group is working with Microsoft to produce artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DT) educational contents for its employees.

SK Group announced on June 16 that its in-house education platform mySUNI will start strategic cooperation with MS Learn on the same day. The two companies have formed a partnership for this purpose.

MS Learn is a platform that makes the technology and services used by MS into educational contents. SK is going to train developers, engineers, and experts in big data by utilizing MS Learn contents. To that end, it will organize a training course to get a license for Microsoft's cloud computing platform, Azure.

The company will also develop a joint "mySUNI-MS curriculum" that includes a degree course in conjunction with domestic and foreign AI and DT-specialized universities within this year. SK is the first company in Korea to introduce MS Learn to internal educational content.

"We plan to introduce an expert certification course to foster developers, engineers, and big data experts in the global market beyond simple education," SK Group said. "We will increase the AI/DT capabilities of our members to increase the execution of Deep Change (fundamental innovation) for each related company."

Through this partnership, mySUNI plans to rework and provide contents applicable to SK members' duties and roles among MS Learn contents.

It is expected that SK members will understand the latest technology trends and internalize them as it has made actual technologies and services that are used by MS into educational contents.

In addition to AI and DT, mySUNI, which was launched in January this year, currently operates 640 educational contents in nine areas, including happiness, social value and leadership.

About 8,000 people are accessing and learning every day, and the popular courses such as "SKMS (SK Management System)" and "Understanding of Social Value Pursuit" have already been completed by more than 7,000 people, and the response of employees is also hot.

"MySUNI's role is to establish itself as a platform for securing members' capabilities to lead the group's deep change," said Cho Don-hyun, mySUNI CLO(Chief Learning Officer). "With this cooperation, Microsoft's high expertise in cloud, AI/DT will serve as a foundation for SK members to increase their competitiveness."

"MS's diverse education curriculum will help SK members improve their AI/DT capabilities in the digital transformation pursued by SK Group," said Laura Longcore, vice president of MS Global Learning. "We look forward to finding more meaningful and applicable cases through continued cooperation between the two companies in the future."
