MEST Research Increased Blue LED Efficiency by 30%

APEC VC Korea have released a document from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to the APEC regional audience that details the success of the Korean innovation plan for LED.

In the document it states that, "the next generation InGaN blue light's efficiency was increased by 30 percent."

The document gives an outline of how the results were achieved.  In April the results received attention in science magazine, 'Advanced Functional Materials.'

The results, in terms of technical details were said to be because of zinc oxide nanorod optical waveguide effects.
