Netmarble was the only game company to be listed among game companies to rank 52nd in the second quarter of 2020, up two notches from the first quarter, in the "100 largest brands in Korea" released by Brandstock, a brand valuation company.
In the survey, which involved 170,000 members of Brandstock, Netmarble received a total of 846.9 points (out of 1,000) for BSTI. The brand stock index received 608.8 points (out of 700), while the consumer survey index received 238.1 points (out of 300).
"Netmarble has improved its performance with the global launch of 'Seven Crimes: Grand Cross' and the domestic release of 'A3: Still Alive' in the first half of the year, and its IP-anticipated 'Stone Age World' has also steadily started to serve its brand value," Brandstock said.
"In the second half, various new lineups of 'Seven Knights 2, 'The Second Country' and 'Magumagu 2020 mobile's' will be enhanced."
In the annual ranking of "Korea's top 100 brands," which is announced every December, Netmarble has also been rising, ranking 87th in 2016, 63rd in 2017, and 60th in 2018 and 2019.
In addition, Netmarble ranked first in the game category for the seventh consecutive year in the "2020 Korea Brand Star" released annually by Brandstock. Brand Star is an evaluation of the brand value of companies by major industrial sectors in Korea, and Netmarble has maintained its No. 1 ranking in the game category since 2014.
Brandstock's "Korea's Top 100 Brands" is a brand valuation certification system that selects and announces brands with high BSTI scores from the top 100.
BSTI is a brand value evaluation model that combines the brand stock index (70 percent) and the regular consumer survey index (30 percent) formed through simulated stock trading on the Brandstock Exchange with 1,000 leading brands in 230 sectors.
