The 3D teleconference scene from the movie "Kingsman" and the virtual screen touch scene from "Minority Report" become a reality. LG U+ announced on Aug. 11 that it will release AR Glasses U+Real Glass.

LG U+ announced on Aug. 11 that it will release AR Glasses U+Real Glass. This is the first time in the global market that B2C 5G communication AR glasses are sold.

U+Real Glass is a wearable device that shows the content you want through contact lenses when you wear a device like wearing glasses. Because the lens is transparent, you can see the front even while using the service, and you can freely arrange and resize content screens in 360-degree spaces surrounding the user.

The most noticeable feature of U+Real Glass is its screen size, which can be extended up to 100 inches or more. In addition, another content can be added to the empty space next to the content. Screen control basically uses a smartphone.

When you connect a U+Real Glass to a smartphone with the USB line provided, your smartphone shoots a virtual laser pointer on the screen, which you can use like a mouse cursor.

LG U+ is planning to provide new media experiences to its customers by creating synergy with ultra-light AR glasses "Nreal Light" of its global startup "Nreal" and its 5G services and contents.

U+Real Glass can be expanded by more than 100 inches, giving you an overwhelming sense of immersion when watching sports games, movies, or concerts. The empty space next to the content may contain another content.

For example, you can watch real-time sports broadcasts on the U+ professional baseball app while opening a portal search window on the next screen to search for the names of players you are curious about. Screen control basically is possible by using a smartphone.

LG U+ expects the U+Real Glass to bring about a new trend that uses content. This is because AR glasses, which can look at the situation head-on, can reduce the risk of "smombie" looking only at a smartphone with its head down in public places such as public transportation such as buses and subways, or walking and pedestrian crossing.

In addition, the inconvenience of having to hold a smartphone with your arm when you rest on a sofa or bed will disappear.

In the second half of this year, it will also release "Spatial," a teleconference system through collaboration with the U.S. company Spatial that develops AR and VR collaboration platforms. Spatial is an AR glasses app service that allows up to 10 people located in different spaces to collaborate in a virtual conference room.

In addition, Nreal is also developing a service that recognizes hand gestures, not smartphones, for operating apps on the screen. This product was released as one 'Dark Gray' type.

Only U+5G subscribers can use the service, and it is linked to Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Note 20, which is currently pre-booked. LG Electronics' strategic phone called 'LG Velvet' is also scheduled to provide services. It is planning to continue to discuss additional models with manufacturers.

U+Real Glass can be purchased at LG U+ stores and online malls nationwide, and its official release date is on Aug. 21.
