No dive-in necessary to shoot underwater

A new underwater camera developed by GVS captures clear pictures during long hours underwater with patented vacuum waterproof technology.

The CCTV camera named GVS-350, is an all-in-one unit with built-in lighting and allows real-time video monitoring of up to 200 meters in depth. Because light penetration underwater is weak, an additional lighting device has been necessary when shooting underwater. GVS-350 was designed to provide bright lighting by integrating high-intensity LED. As a result, deep-sea monitoring becomes possible without actually having to dive in, allowing wide use in shallow filtration plants, fish farms and pipes as well as in ships, underwater construction works, aquanautics and deep-sea explorations.

A peculiarity of shooting underwater is that a great amount of disturbance occurs as the device becomes bulkier due to buoyancy and water resistance. In this aspect, the GVS-350's built-in lighting has a great advantage over its competitors, says Taek-wan Chang, CEO of GVS.

Additional features

  • GVS-350 fully shuts out dew condensation by applying vacuum waterproofing - GVS’ very own patented technology - and prevents corrosion by using stainless steel.
  • GVS has strengthened cable durability by using urethane cables specially made to endure the seawater’s salinity and shock from the outside, and has reinforced the cable tensile force due to the increased weight of the underwater camera.
  • For underwater camera housing, it uses stainless steel (STS 316L) to endure corrosion underwater, and has been designed to safely protect the product from external shock.
Around 1,000 groups and organizations are currently using the camera including the Blue House, Fisheries Agency, the Port Administration, the Maritime Police Agency, shipping companies and large fish farms.

Customer service a top priority

When a potential customer expresses interest, GVS conducts a thorough analysis of the conditions for which the camera will be used based on past installation experience and technical expertise. A customer representative then recommends a specific product to the customer. GVS hopes to gain the customers' trust in order to build a long-term relationship with them.
