SEOUL, KOREA – GM Korea employees hosted a Christmas party for 200 disadvantaged children from 11 local welfare institutions at the company’s Bupyeong headquarters in Incheon on December 11.

In addition, they arranged a tap dancing musical, pantomime show and performance of the Nutcracker ballet.

GM Korea President and CEO Sergio Rocha said, “It was a pleasure to see the smiles and positive energy of the children. Hosting events such as our annual Christmas party is part of GM Korea’s support of children across the country.”

Kyeongmi Park, one of the children who participated in the Christmas party, said: “The party was very interesting and fun. Today will remain in my memory for a long time.”

The Christmas party was sponsored by the GM Korea Employee Foundation. Since its establishment in 2005, the employee organization has been carrying out projects to support those in need, including reimbursing medical expenses, offering scholarships, supporting special classes for talented students and giving musical instrument to a visually impaired orchestra. In addition to donating vehicles, GM Korea employees donate their time and services through activities such as repairing welfare facilities, offering material support and providing emergency assistance.
