SEOUL, KOREA – NHN announced on January 11 that its “Line Camera” broke the barrier of 20 million in downloads in ten months after launch. Line Camera is an official camera app of the mobile messenger Line. In 14 countries, the messenger app topped in the category of free app download rankings.
Line Camera” in particular, is enjoying popularity in Asian countries, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Nepal.
The number of global users of Line Camera is increasing at a rapid speed since it allows users to share photos through a variety of popular social network services, including Twitter, Facebook, Mixi (Japan), Weibo and Renren (China).
Among key factors behind the rising popularity of Line Camera is its feature to permit users to edit and decorate their photos.

NHN의 '라인 카메라'가 11일 2000만 다운로드를 돌파했다고 밝혔다. 서비스 출시 10개월 만의 성적이다.
모바일 메신저 '라인'의 공식 카메라 앱인 라인 카메라는 14개국 앱스토어에서 무료 앱 다운로드 전체 1위를 기록했다. 특히 일본, 대만, 홍콩, 인도네시아, 베트남, 네팔 등 아시아권에서 인기를 끄는 것으로 나타났다.
특히 트위터나 페이스북은 물론 믹시(일본), 웨이보와 런런(중국) 등 해외 각국의 인기 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)를 통해 사진을 공유할 수 있어 글로벌 이용자가 더욱 증가하고 있다고 회사 측은 밝혔다.
스티커 사진을 꾸미듯 재미있게 사진을 편집할 수 있다는 것이 '인기 요소'다.
