레이 전기차 가격 인하 시점은 한국지엠이 `스파크 EV`를 선보이는 9월 전후가 될 전망이다. 전기차 시장에 신규로 진입하는 한국지엠도 스파크 EV 가격을 공격적으로 책정할 예정이다.
환경부 관계자는 “한국지엠은 국내 전기차 중 최저 가격으로 스파크 EV 가격을 책정한다는 계획”이라며 “올 하반기 국내 시장에서 구매할 수 있는 전기차가 3종으로 늘어나면서 가격 인하 경쟁이 본격화하는 셈”이라고 덧붙였다.
이 와중에 기아차가 레이 전기차 가격을 3500만원까지 인하함으로써, 스파크 EV 가격도 3000만원 초중반대에 형성될 가능성이 크다는 분석이다. 르노삼성이 10월 선보일 예정인 `SM3 Z.E` 가격은 4500만원으로 책정됐다.
환경부는 전기차 다양화 및 가격 인하에 대응해 민간을 대상으로 한 시범보급 사업을 실시한다는 방침이어서 국내 전기차 보급 확대도 탄력을 받을 전망이다.
