The Korea Software Development Business Association (hereafter referred to as the KSDBA) will host the 1stGlobal Women’s Opinion Forum on October 1 at Seoul National University, with a view to building global networks for IT convergence projects, exchanging human resources and nurturing talent.

The 1stGlobal Women’s Opinion Forum is designed to leverage S. Korea’s brand image as an IT powerhouse and the Korean Wave (or Hallyu) in globally promoting Korean IT convergence products, expanding new business opportunities, sending talent out to other countries and inviting those who want to learn advanced information technology to S. Korea.

Since the KSDBA has a membership of over 2,600 companies, it is well positioned to carry out business projects and recruit talent. The KSDBA has already built Software Venture Tower in the southwestern city of Daegu; the construction of Green Smart Village is underway on a land area of 34,000 pyeong in Gimcheon (a city in North Gyeongsang Province). In addition, the KSDBA is currently pushing for the construction of Direct Tower in Gwanak District, Seoul.

Women-led global networks, anticipated to be built through the 1stGlobal Women’s Opinion Forum, are believed to take full advantage of women’s subtlety and thoughtfulness in helping global-minded businesses enter overseas markets and laying the foundation for the KSDBA’s moves to nurture and exchange talent.

At the moment, requests are pouring in from Eduardo, Angola, Tunisia, etc.; a great number of women in numerous nations, including China, Japan, Hong Kong and Canada, are united in getting the plans to build IT schools around the globe off the ground.

Also in the pipeline are tours of the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and Nuridream Square, which houses the Global SW Development & Cooperation Center (GIDC), the Government Document Distribution Center (GDOC) and Digital Pavilion.
