Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics accounted for 60 percent in the top-ten TV products of the year selected by the U.S. consumer magazine Consumer Reports.
According to the top-ten TV ranking of the year 2014 released by Consumer Reports on December 24, LG Electronics’ 55-inch OLED TV came on top.Consumer Reports said,“LG’s 55-inch OLED TV is the best of the best products among those tested this year.”
Another LG TV—65-inch Ultra HD TV—also ranked high at No. 5. Samsung TVs ranked No. 2,3, 6, and 8 on the list. Samsung’s plasma TV unexpectedly ranked No. 2,although its production was discontinued. Following Samsung, LG also halted its plasmaTV production.
Consumer Reports, however, said that Samsung’s plasmaTV is superior to other types of TVs,excluding OLED TVs.Other Samsung TVs, which were included in the top-ten list were UHD TVs
