On January 27, Vera, Napoli pizzeria run by SPC Group(www.spc.co.kr) in Korea announced that it was selected as ‘Italian hospitality(Ospitalità Italiana), the world Italian restaurant’ organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ITCCK).
‘Ospitalità Italiana’ is a project organized by Italy national tourism institution and Italian businessmen association in ITCCK, where excellent Italian restaurants around the world have been chosen to be certified since 1997. In Korea, ITCCK started the certification program from 2012 and Vera was chosen as the 14th traditional Italian restaurant in Korea.
Vera, launched in Hannam-dong, Seoul in 2013 by SPC Group, is an Italian restaurant noted for its traditional Napoli pizza and Italian cuisine, which use hand-picked Italian whole-wheat and premium Buffalo Mozzarella cheese as well as top-class olive oil which was certified for the origin of raw materials as D.O.P(Denominazione d'Origine Protetta) by AGROQUALITA, an Italian state agency.
Vera has also adhered to baking its pizza with oak firewood in the brazier where you can find volcanic stones directly imported from Vesuvio Mt. in Italy. It was also accredited the world’s 436th ‘Vera Pizza Napoletana’ by Italy’s Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN).
“We are so pleased to be recognized for our efforts to make traditional Napoli pizza,” an official from SPC Group said, “To keep this momentum, we will do our best to offer second to none service with better taste and quality.” Meanwhie, Vera is planning an event to deliver ‘Vera Best Pizza’ to the customers who buy bottles of wine until 8 p.m. on February 28.
