The price of a cup of coffee selling at hotels in Seoul is the highest among major hotels worldwide.
On June 29, global hotel reservation site Hotels.com released the results of its survey on the prices of four major items, including burger combo meal, coffee, house red wine, and club sandwich selling at 30 major three-five star hotels in 28 countries.
The price of a cup of coffee selling at hotels in Seoul averaged at 10,770 won, making them the only hotels in the world with higher than 10,000 won coffee prices.
Following Seoul were Tokyo with 9,420 won, Beijing with 8,510 won, Hong Kong with 8,190 won, and Taipei with 7,580 won. In terms of the sales price of coffee, the world’s top-five hotels are located within East Asia.
Bogota, Colombia, has the cheapest hotel coffee price (1,740 won), followed by Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with 2,280 won, Mexico City with 2,740 won and Madrid with 3,690 won.
