President Park Geun-hye and French President François Hollande, who is on a state visit to Korea, attended the Korea-France Economic Cooperation Forum and the Higher Education Forum on November 4.
The Forums were held as part of various programs for the 2015-2016 Korea-France Bilateral Exchange organized to commemorate the 130th anniversary of diplomatic ties. As a reflection of the two countries` common understanding that nurturing creative and innovative human resources was critical to realizing an economic take-off, businesses and educational circles came together to jointly hold the opening ceremony of the Forum.
In a congratulatory address, President Park proposed three ways to promote economic and educational cooperation: nurturing creative human resources who will be at the center of national competiveness in the future, forming an environment in which creative ideas lead to new businesses and developing future growth engines that can generate high added value.
