Samsung Engineering, which posted more than 1.5 trillion won in loss, is set to have unpaid absence for all of its employees with an aim of normalizing the company.
The employees are set to have unpaid absence for a month from December this year to November next year. The executives will give up their one month salary without absence. Samsung Engineering posted 1.5 trillion won in loss following the massive loss in its overseas business including in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Iraq.
The engineering firm is set to lay out a self-help plan by, for instance, selling its office building or recapitalizing around 1.2 trillion won by March.
