Kumho Tire’s Global TV commercial titled ‘Tire Blind Test’ is being well received. In the commercial, professional and amateur car racers are really invited to a blind tire test in which they drive two different sports cars -- a Dodge Viper ACR model and an Audi R8 (which is also Tony Stark’s car in the movie Iron Man -- and on the Exotics Racing Road Course in Los Angeles to figure out which brand of tires. Both cars are the world’s top-of-the-line sports cars with a 10-cylinder engine.
The scenes showing racers swerving around the circuit without any prior knowledge of tire brands are fast and furious. Deeply satisfied with the performance of the tires, the racers are asked to guess the brand of Tire A and B and they offer unscripted answers. They are all surprised to know that both were Kumho Tire’s ECSTA V720.
The Tire Blind Test commercial is being aired in the US, Germany, the UK, China, Australia and Vietnam.
