Both of these customers have used Omnivex Moxie software to manage large visual communications networks throughout their facilities.

The annual APEX Awards represent a showcase of the digital signage industry's best work, The Awards honor innovation in the development and deployment of technology in the global Digital Out-of-Home industry. Chris Gibbs, president of Exponation, LLC, which produces Digital Signage Expo said, "We received an extraordinary number of entries for both the Apex and Content Awards for 2010, which is not only a reflection on the continued growth of the digital signage, interactive technologies and Out-of-Home Network industry, but it is also clear that the work being done is raising the bar significantly in terms of quality and excellence."

Richard Lebovitz, APEX judge and editorial director for DigitalSignageExpo.net added, "The level of excellence was very high this year. Those companies receiving DSE 2010 Apex Awards represent the cream of an outstanding crop."

Omnivex won an APEX Award for the deployment at the Portland Trail Blazers' Rose Garden Arena in the Hospitality category. The software is used by the Trail Blazers to manage over 250 screens that are positioned in all of the concession stands to display menu items and pricing, advertising, a live game feed and other messages for the thousands of visitors to the arena each year.

"We selected Moxie from a long list of software vendors and have been thrilled with our decision. We have seen tremendous results from the digital signage network and this award just proves that what we have accomplished at the Rose Garden is truly innovative. We are honored to have won this award," said Chris Dill, chief information officer, Portland Trail Blazers.

The second APEX Award won by Omnivex was in the Stadiums and Arenas category for the digital signage network implemented by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. With the help of integrator Digital Display and Communications, MLSE installed over 300 screens throughout Air Canada Centre at high traffic areas in intricately configured arrangements to create a distinctive fan experience and improve the aesthetic appeal of the venue. Omnivex Moxie is used to run all of the screens and was selected by MLSE for its ability to handle complex playlists, allowing them to easily manage all of the sponsored advertising and other content unique to each location in the facility.

"We wanted to transform the fan experience and make Air Canada Centre come alive and felt that the right digital signage system would help us realize our vision," said Dwayne Brown, manager venue services. "This award and the feedback we have received from the fans and our corporate partners confirm that we have succeeded in what we set out to achieve with our deployment," Brown reflected.

This is the second consecutive year that Omnivex has won an APEX Award. "It is a great honor for Omnivex and our customers to be recognized with these awards. It further reinforces our position in the industry as a forward thinking and innovative software company," concluded Jeff Collard, president of Omnivex.
