Hu Jintao Visits the Tibetan Committee

On March 6, Hu Jintao, the Paramount Leader of the People's Republic of China, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, and the President of the People's Republic of China, visited the Communist Party of China Tibet Autonomous Committee. Also in attendance was Zhang Qingli, the Secretary of the Committee; Bimachilin, the Deputy Secretary, and other top government officials. Dawazhaxi, and Gesang Zhuoma made speeches about further improvements for farmers and herders working conditions and living standards.

Hu Jintao stressed, "The central government will push forward for Tibet's development and maintain stability in the autonomous region, promising continuous efforts for ethnic minorities' well-being."
