Asiana Airlines held a sisterhood ceremony for "China-Beautiful Classroom" at the Xihu Experimental School based in the Chinese city of Hainan on Nov. 21.
At the event, Jung Sung-kwon, head of Asiana Airlines' China regional headquarters, and Kim Chang-nam, vice consul general at the Consulate General in Zhu Guangzhou, attended to mark the sisterhood relationship between Asiana Airlines and Xihu Experimental School.
Through its 31st "China-Beautiful Classroom," Asiana Airlines supported the construction of new library in the school and donated a total of 700 books.
The plan aims to motivate students to read through the opening of an open-type library in the hallway of the Xihu Experimental School building, and to further expand opportunities to explore their career paths.
In addition, Asiana Airlines' current Chinese cabin crew held a special vocational class, which was directly conducted by the airline's incumbent cabin crew, drawing enthusiastic response from students with high interest in the aviation industry and the flight crew.
"Through this lecture, I could easily understand what I was curious about job as a flight attendant," said a third-year student at Xihu Experimental School. "I want to be a person who can do good by reading a lot of books presented by Asiana Airlines."
"Asia Airlines has been working on local social contribution activities such as 'China-Beautiful Classroom' in line with the diversified global environment," said Jung, adding, "We will provide support to promote civilian exchanges between Korea and China in the future."
