SK Telecom and Microsoft (MS) are planning to expand pilot service starting from Jan. 21 due to their popularity in the early stages of Project xCloud.
The two companies will increase the number of "xCloud" games from 29 (as of November 2019) to 85 and support 40 of them with Korean subtitles and voice. There are more than 40 games that will be introduced to the Korean market for the first time, and games made by Korean game developers such as “black desert and terra” will be added.
Both companies plan to continue to expand the number of Korean-language support games in the future. Both companies are planning to increase the number of customers who experience ‘xCloud’ starting from Jan. 21. In October last year, they selected some customers and ran pilot service.
If you receive an application from the official Korean website and get an e-mail to complete your subscription, you will be able to use the "xCloud" game for free immediately.
SK Telecom is going to distribute ‘xCloud’ app exclusively on its app market ‘One Store’. In other words, ‘xCloud’ apps can only be installed on One Store. Users, who previously installed the app through the Google Play Store, can update it from the One Store app.
"MS-SKT partnership is playing a big role in providing high-quality game services based on 5G," said Kareem Choudhry, executive vice president of MS Cloud Game. "With this expansion, all-out cooperation with SK Telecom will be even more important."
