According to Australia's IT media Business Insider on March 13, LG's OLED TV (EF950T) achieved the highest review in Australia.
The review was published under the title "LG's new OLED TV is the best you can buy in Australia."
The publication further said, "LG OLED TV realizes 4K resolution and HDR (High Dynamic Range), while excelling other TVs in many aspects, including contrast ratio, color reproduction rate, and deep black color."
It noted that even in light of design, LG OLED TV is incredibly thin. To be precise, 51mm thin for the top two-thirds of the TV, with the lower third slightly thicker to house the processor and all the other parts that make it work. This is thanks to the OLED display which doesn’t have a backlight and has a color-producing stack that’s just half as thick as standard LCDs.
It added, "LG OLED TV's smart function using WebOS is very convenient to use as it allows intuitive use of magic remote controller just like a mouse."
At present, LG Electronics is an unrivaled leader in the OLED TV area. However, the number of TV companies which join this market is increasing rapidly.
China's Skyworth started producing OLED TVs from 2014, followed by other Chinese firms such as Konka and Changhong and Japan's Panasonic in 2015. Philips is expected to follow suit this year.
