Hyundai Motor said on Oct. 16 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with French industrial gas company Air Liquide and multinational energy company ENGIE to increase the supply of hydrogen cars and hydrogen charging stations at a hotel in Paris, France.
Hyundai Motor has announced its goal of exporting 5,000 hydrogen powered vehicles to France by 2025, and Air Liquide will actively contribute to the development of the Korean hydrogen industry. Air Liquide also revealed its intention to participate in a special purpose corporation (SPC), which is scheduled to be established around the end of this year.
"The three companies recognized as world-class companies in the manufacturing of hydrogen cars, production of hydrogen and construction of charging stations, and building energy and infrastructure are conducting innovative experiments to open the era of popularization of hydrogen cars," a Hyundai official said.
