Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUH) said that it signed a participation agreement with the International Medical Cluster (IMC) Foundation for the establishment of smart hospital in the Skolkovo international medical special zone in Moscow on Dec. 26.
Mayor Sergei Sobyanin of Moscow, Korean Ambassador to Russia Woo Yoon-geun and other high-ranking officials from the Moscow City's health and welfare ministry and the construction ministry attended the signing ceremony.
Through the signing of the contract, the hospital plans to establish a Korean-style high-tech hospital in Moscow`s Skolkovo international medical special zone, and to promote more active medical cooperation between Korea and Russia.
"The project to build a smart hospital of Korean style in the Skolkovo zone is currently receiving a lot of attention and support from the Russian federal government. I am very happy that the innovative operational model of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital and the world's best medical information system are progressing as planned," Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
Meanwhile, Jeon Sang-hoon, president of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, said, "We will provide high-quality medical services in Russia by applying the world's best medical technology and know-how owned by our hospital. As the best medical education institution in Korea, we will also play a big role in the education and research activities of Russian medical staff.”
Currently, the Bundang hospital is closely cooperating with Tashir Group, which is an investor in this project, with the goal of completing detailed schedule for hospital construction and investment contract negotiations by the end of March 2019.
