The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ) announced on Oct. 27 that they selected Chung Han-sung, CEO of Shinjin Fasteners, and Jang Gwan-seop, CEO of Yeongkwang YKMC as "proud small businessmen in October."
Shinjin Fasteners is the first Korean company to develop stainless steel hexagon head bolts and obtain KS certification, and recently established a four-dimensional visualization program. It achieved a $5 million export tower and received presidential commendation last year.
It also registered trademark rights (SJF) with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and obtained certification of overseas standards for power generation plants.
Yeongkwang YKMC is a leading company in surface processing technology (anodizing technology) that is used to make metallic coatings and has a one-stop system where all processes such as processing, cleaning, anodizing, and product assembly are processed at once.
Yeongkwang YKMC is a company whose exports account for 70 percent of its total sales and won the $20 million export tower in 2017.
